No its not your fault under any circumstances. I bet a lot of people will agree with me. And you can even print this page out and show it to her how many people will say if its her S**T then pack your own S**T and dont blame noone else for forgetting your own S**T. Daymn your story pissed me off because i feel bad for you......my apologies for language.

This is a petty squabble. I don't think there is FAULT at all ... someone forgot the ipod. does it really mad who forgot it? It was galient of you to give her yours until she gets hers back and i commend you for that. But the question you need to be asking is why this is such a big deal and why does she get depressed when she comes home! It sounds to me like you two have problems that you are avoiding or maybe don't even realize yet. You two definatly need to sit down and talk and listen to each other!

I think we should all be responsible for our own stuff. Yes it's fine to enlist the help of others but at the end of the day, it's up to us as individuals to make sure that any requests were carried through....as you say she didn't ask you to pack her ipod anyway.
but even if she had it's still down to the other person to double check & has no right to be going off if their own stuff is forgotten in some way.......I think your friend is immature & lacks responsibility of her own.........I'd tell her to stuff herself & get my ipod back.....

It's her ipod, her responsibility. She's being immature by blaming you and by refusing to return your ipod until she gets hers back.

we should all be responsible for our own items. It isnt your job to double check to see if she has rounded up all her crap. If she told you to get it and you refused that's one thing...but you didn't get it due to the fact that it wasn't your job to. if she wont return it go to court. with all the songs that you've downloaded and paid for (i hope) and the ipod itself...that is pretty pricey.

she's stupid for acting like a child.

If she never told you to get her iPod, and it wasn't in plain view, I don't think it's your fault at all. She's being unreasonable and selfish.

No she is not a child that needs to be looked after. It is her responsibility to make sure she has all her things not yours.

nope it doesnt sound like it to me.I think she is just mad that she doesnt have hers and has to take it out on someone.Plus like you said she gets depressed after leaving the family. It is easier to be mad at you then to deal with the real problem.
