I know this isn't really answering your question, but to the people who are responding, what is WRONG with wanting to come out to the people you love and care about? That's what bonding is all about. You should be able to be yourself and KNOW that you are among TRUE people who love you, like your family and friends without just 'living your own life and eventually they'll figure it out". They shouldn't HAVE to "figure it out". If your friends and family were your TRUE friends and family, they would love you regardless and be proud of you for taking a brave step in telling them. Coming out is a liberating experience, due to sometimes many years of being closeted. If you are not gay or transgendered, how can you really give advice on how to or how NOT to come out? If you're not gay, you dont know how keeping it in the closet FEELS and why someone would WANT to come out. Sorry, that's just my two cents.

you don't, eventually people will figure it out. Why do gays have to 'announce' their gayness anyways? Us straight people will figure things out when we wee you kissing your partner or by the way you talk about certain things. Just live your live and feel comfortable in your own skin.
