I guess it's hard to keep up with all of them when on tour. Drop off one Chris and another shows up when you leave the concert. But then again, they took lots of drugs in those days.
Actually, Jeremy Gelbwaks (the first Chris) was fired after the first season, for being too disruptive on the set. Once, between takes, Jeremy bit co-star David Cassidy on the leg while doing an impression of a rabid dog. Cassidy wasn't amused; ultimately, neither were the producers. They replaced Gelbwaks with Brian Forster...who promptly hit it off with cast and crew alike.

I guess the second one. He fit in a little better. I heard the original one got out of hand.
