I'M ONLY 17 AND IVE BEEN TESTED POSITIVE FOR POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME! MY MENSTRUAL PERIOD IS VERY IRREGULAR AND I HAVE SOME OF THE SYMPTOMS.
THE LAST TIME I HAD "IT" WAS IN SEPTEMBER 2006. I WENT TO THE DOCTORS AND SHE GAVE ME PILLS TO "REGULATE MY PERIOD". I DON'T EVEN TAKE THE PILLS ANYMORE BECAUSE I HAVE VERY FREAKY REACTIONS WHEN I'M IN SCHOOL. ANYTIME I WOULD TAKE THE PILLS, A FEW HOURS LATER I'M VERY NERVOUS AND UNABLE TO STAY STILL! IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO FIX THIS?!

The only downside to an irregular period is you don't know when it will start or end. If your not in danger for any health reasons and it doesn't bother you then no big deal.
Besides the pill other birth controle medications are known to regulate or change the cycle of your period but they're all hormonal (Hormonal IUD, The needle) there's lots of stuff you can read about them online, their pros and cons.
The best thing for you to do is set up an appointment with your doctor and see what treatments are availible, make sure to look at the pros and cons of each and how they would effect your particular situaltion.

I am 24 and have also been diagnosed with PCOS. I have been reading up own my own and have found that you can treat PCOS naturally with supplements and just a healthy lifestyle (eating right and exercising regularly). I don't know if you have a problem with weight but that is something I had to deal with and it really effects your symptoms. I could find the information I have on internet sites and book recommendations if you would like just email and let me know

See your doctor about the reactions you're having to the pills. See if he can either put you on something else or reduce your dosing. If you don't want to deal with modern medicine for your PCOS, do some homework on natural methods. A great website is http://www.ovarian-cysts-pcos.com. I wish you luck.

The vet places her below a typical anesthetic, slices open her abdomen and eliminates her ovaries, Fallopian tubes, uterus and cervix. Then he sews her returned up, takes to the air the anesthetic and instruments her in a restoration cage to awaken. the effect is that she won't in any respect flow into estrus, contract pyometra or have doggies. Her danger of breast maximum cancers is a lot decreased. issues are uncommon, via fact that maximum vets try this surgical technique in lots of instances and are properly-practiced.
