sometimes, after and hour or so my mac foundation seems to fade away and the shine on my cheeks, forehead, chin and especially nose would be exposed.
having p.e. first period may be one of the reasons. but i have no time after p.e. to touch up my make up.
so instead of needing foundation or a compact to cover up my shine. how can i get rid of my shiny, oily skin? or at least keep my powder foundation on.

oh, and after i wash my face in hot or warm water, my skin gets really dry, but still shiny.

thanks! :D

Sweets, skin, when it is clean, is naturally shiny. It means you have healthy skin. You may be using the wrong cleanser if your skin is feeling dry after cleansing. Try using something that doesn't bubble- these are usually more emollient and will cleanse but not dry out your skin.
There is a good product from Origins called Zero oil. It costs about $10. but lasts forever. (I know you want home remedies, but there aren't any.) You can also use the oil blotting sheets to absorb oil and matte the shine. You can also try another foundation, maybe a liquid instead of a powder. If you want more help, you can e-mail me & I will try to help further.

OK your skin needs a certain amount of oil right, so the more you scrub trying to get rid the quicker it will build up, so wot you do is this, instead of getting rid of the oil you stock it up, get some baby oil and put a little on cotton wool or something similar, rub on the effected areas, leave on for about 5-10Min's. k you may wonder why your putting more oil on your face well the reason is that if your face already has enough oil it won't want to build up more- result super shiny skin, so after 5-10Min's or so wash off with liquid soap or plain water nothing else other wise the clearing too powerful & you end up right at the begining, so hope fully this will help & stop the shine all else i can recomend is eat food with oil in or read the nest answer lol
