There are so many restriction while pregnant. I have been really carefull about what i eat but i am going crazy over the restrictions =(, i cant even eat my favorite a turkey sandwich from subway.Well i know i cant eat real crab but is artificial okay? I would think it would be okay but it is better to be safe then sorry =). I have a yummy crab salad the hubby bought for me in the fridge, any answers would be greatly appreciated.

It should be safe as long as you dont eat very much.

Who said you cant have turkey and crab? Lol.

I ate lunch meats and subway all the time. Get the sea food mercury chart from your doctor. You can eat hard shell crab. I had crab legs about twice a month while I was pregnant.

There really isnt much you CANT eat, just a lot of things you need to be careful of, and eat in moderation.

As long as the deli meats are fresh theyre fine.

I think you're just driving yourself crazy needlessly.

Lord, Times have really changed if Doctors are telling women what they can and cannot eat while pregnant. I had 3 children and my doctor never told me what I could or could not eat. He did advice against No smoking, and No Alcohol and for any aches and pains the only thing I could take was Tylenol. Crab meat should not hurt you at all, unless you are allergic to it..

sure it really is deff probability-free, I had my first appointment the former day (7 weeks 6 days) and im a crab finatic lol my dr said sure its ok, its completely probability-free for wide-spread crab meat and imitation crab meat so dont problem about it.

i eat subs from subway all the time..the cold cuts are my favorite..and i eat any seafood too..just as long as you dont eat but 6oz a week..just dont want to overdue the mercury..the only things you really cant eat are soft cheeses and unpasturized milks..good luck and congrats..

you can eat fish, your just supposed to eat it moderately because of the mercury levels in the fish. I only eat fish and seafood 1 to 2 times a week.

Well I am glad you realize lunch meats & shell fish are a big no! But artificial crab, go for it, enjoy! It is really munk fish so as long as you have not loaded up on fish this week you are good to go & chow.
