I'm quite happy about it, because it means I'm not dead yet!

I would like to grow old gracefully. I'm 33 in June and I have had 2 kids in the past four years so I have definately noticed more wrinkles and generally I look much older than I did a few years ago but I just see this as the evidence of all the sleepless nights I have had raising my babies. Likewise stretchmarks and losing my nice flat tum! I would just be happy that I would know I would live that long and still be around for my kids and my friends. Age is a frame of mind and if the mind stays young then it doesn't matter what you look like on the outside as long as you still have your spirit.
There is a ridiculous amount of emphasis on physical appearance these days and I truly believe that that way lies madness. Appreciate yourself and other people for what's inside and you can't go wrong.

I cannot deny the fact that there were times in my life when I felt scared of getting old. Once, when I was reaching 30 and then again when I hit 50.
Now that I am 56, I have no problem with it. My mind just accepts it. What is more difficult however, is matching my appearance to my age as I look so much younger.
I don't look old, I don't feel old. I don't even think old. I just age. My daughter of 28 yrs, says that after looking at my photos before she was born. I get compliments all the time, again a feel good factor.
I have to add tho that looking young, healthy and fit does not happen by itself. It requires a good maintenance. And I am not just talking of healthy and balance diets, exercise or pots of cream but also the cream of life if you get my meaning.

fUNBENJY HELLO -I am 55 and on HRT and yes each year I have more wrinkles etc.
Last week for the first time I went to see my hairdresser to say help I am almost totally grey (which I hate) can you help me - guess what she did I had a colour and highlights and when I walked out of the hairdressers I felt 10 years younger - several people that I knew stopped me in the street and said Jean you look so good - I can tell you I felt so good (cost me £51.00 but worth every penny - I have booked my next appointment in 6 weeks time. I don't need a face lift yet in fact I don't want one - Helen Murrin is 61 and look what she is like - hope for me yet.
I am going to grow old disgracefully - why look 70 when you can look 50.... I rest my case.
How old are you? I look at photos of me when I was 50 and I look younger now - all to do with attitude of mind (Yes).
Take care and a very good question.
Jeanie xx

I would be thinking if i am 70 then what the heck would Mick Jagger and Keith Richards be looking like? and will Des 0'connor still be having babies? seriously i think most people handle their advancing age by recognising with famous people who are maybe slightly older ie some may think i am past it in my 30's but Johnny Depp is in his mid 40's and most women wanna get in his pants. Also if u r lucky enough to be loaded then u can get a facelift he he.

The older you get the less important how you look will become. Unless you live in Hollywood and want to end up with a face like a Thunderbird Puppet. As you get older "old" is always someone 10years older than you!

I might be aging a year every year but I don't think I look older every year. I am 51 and people have always thought I was younger, even when I was 40 they thought 32. Now they think 42. What bothers me more than my face looking older is my weight. Metabolism slows with age and it is harder to exercize, everything hurts! So I am more concerned with how I feel than with how I look. Otherwise, it is just normal, everyone ages, me too.

Accept it with Grace and head to the Estee Lauder Counter for anti-aging lotions, maintain good health habits, etc. And try not to focus too much on the fact that we are all going there, whether we like it or not :)

Have just finished shaving off my beard after counting 27 grey hairs in it and I'm only 40 but as long as I don't go bald I think I'll grow into being old and wrinkly ok:-)

Somehow I don't think it would bother me: Everybody tells me I look at least 15 years younger than I really am. Which means that at 70, I should look about 55......

I`m learning to accept it, but it`s hard I must admit. You have to make the most of yourself. I think it`s just as important to look after your health, if not more.
