Meeting someone off of the internet is very risky.. You don't know a single thing about this person, other than what he wants you to know. It could all be true, and he may be a very nice guy.. or he could have fed you a load of lies, and be end up being a serious weirdo. You really have no way of knowing.
In my opinion, you should really find other things to do with your time than arranging to meet total strangers that you only know from the internet. It's not safe. You should watch the news and see how many people get hurt, sometimes worse.. when they go to meet their "online friend".
If you are really set on eventually meeting this guy.. Do NOT go alone, and make sure you meet in a very public place.
Like I said, this guy may be all he says.. but he also may not be. You have no way of knowing who he really is, not by just chatting online, and the occasional phone call/text message.
Just be careful, very careful.

Women should know to be carefull when they meet someone they only know from the Internet. If you don't listen to the NEWS or follow the warnings about being safe then if anything happens to you, I guess you deserve it then

What would be the point? You'd just end up being upset by the call, and he would just think you are a crazy *****. You wouldn't improve the situation.
When someone treats you badly cut them out of your life - never speak to him again. Don't answer his calls, emails or whatever. If you end up taking a call by accident, hang up without explanation.

No do not call him. If you were worth anything to him he wouldn't have canceled the date by texting. He is a liar, so why would you even care. Cut that line.

HELLO? He LIED to you at worst, at best he didn't call you when he was free. Kick his sorry @ss to the curb and never concern yourself with him again. He's nothing but a bad memory at this point...

You should never arrange to meet someone you know only online - that could be very dangerous. You really know nothing about the person.

If it was supposed to be your first meeting, he might just have been nervous so he canceled, and then went to get drunk because he regretted not meeting you. - or it could be he lied about himself and was afraid you'd be disappointed. - Or he may just be a jerk - ask him. (but i'd give him time to recover a bit first)

If he stood you up and lied about it, why would you waste another minute on this lying, inconsiderate, selfish a**?

This is a good question. The key thing you need to consider is: does NATO have a future if its member states are unequally committed (militarily and politically) to its projects?
