Compare to Russell, They are about the same height 6'5" and only about 30 lbs different in weight but Johnson is the leaner of the two. Calvin runs the 40 in 4.3 sec and has a 45 inch vertical leap. They compare him to a more polish Randy Moss and Randy Moss is pretty good but they said "polish" which means he is better. He is not a trouble maker. He compares his personality to Marvin Harrison which is in a league of his own to classy wide receiver. This guy sounds like the real deal, but I wouldn't want him in Oakland cause Oakland is where players go to end their careers. Jamarcus Russel looks good on paper but just because you can launch a football, it still has to get to it's destination.

It's funny how I said players go to Oakland to end their career, like Rich Gannon, Jerry Rice, next on the list are Aaron Brooks, Warren Saap, Randy Moss and who ever decides they only have a year of two left before they are done.

Nobody deserves to be number one. Why would a stud like Johnson or Russell or Quinn deserve to go to the raiders and lose all of their confidence. THE RAIDERS ARE SO BAD! THEY SUCK!
As for who is the best player in the draft, Calvin Johnson, is hands down the best player. Who should go 1st is a different question because of the Raiders needs and preferences. They NEED a qb and like russell over quinn even though QUINN IS WAY BETTER THAN RUSSELL

No. He is the most talented player the the draft, but the Raiders already have Randy Moss and Jerry Porter, so they don't really need a receiver. They will probably pick JaMarcus Russel or Brady Quinn with the first pick

As much as I like Calvin Johnson, Oakland NEEDS a decent quarterback. They need a leader, and the quarterback position is often associated as the "captain". Jamarcus Russell has a "rocket arm" and can make it as a pretty good NFL qb. Calvin will be somewhere close to the first pick, due to his height, great hands, and his attitude. He is a Randy Moss, EXCEPT without the "painful personality".

based on skill alone, yes. He's the most talented player in the draft this year. However, since Oakland can't throw a football more than 5 yards without the other team catching it, JaMarcus Russell will go first.

No, it'll be Russell, but it will be a tough rookie year for him. The Raiders O-line is the pits!! No QB could come in there and succeed with that sorry excuse for an O-line. Plus the Raiders already have a good nucleus of recievers. Moss, Porter, Curry etc.

I think Oakland should trade that pick for a veteran QB. But Oakland... they won't... But then for the draft they SHOULD draft Quinn because I see him having a better future than Russell.

He should but he won't be. CJ is the most talented player in the draft but the Raiders have a more pressing need at the QB spot.

Depends on what the Raiders do for a QB. If they don't get one soon then nope they need a QB more then they need a WR. After all the man can't catch the ball if no one throws it to them.
