I see houses with Christmas decorations STILL up. I drove by a house the other day that had all there decorations up, plus Valentines day decorations up as well. What is the point of putting them up if you are not going to take them down??? Why do people do this???

It's so much more fun putting them up than taking them down :)
It sounds like laziness if someone has decorations out for multiple holidays at the same time!! If it was an elderly couple, though, something may have happened to one of the residents. Not everyone has family or friends to help them.

Does it annoy me? Hell yeah! There is this lady in my town that keeps her decorations from Christmas up year round. And not only that, her kids live next door and she decorates their houses too. It's crazy. There is like a strand of lights going between the three houses connecting them. I think the code enforcement should step in and fine her candy ***. I have NO idea of why people do this. They can't be that damn cheerful and happy.

They get left up here (where I live) simply because it's too freaking cold to go out and take them down. People put them up in November while it's still relatively nice and take them down when it warms up.

Some people leave their lights up for the Troops in Iraq to come home. Or if they have a son or daughter over there then then they leave them up until they come home

I'm sorry but not everyone can be you. We have a disabled lady down the road that still has hers up because no one has stopped to help her take them down, and her son is in Iraq. Should I tell her you and you friends will be by tomorrow to help? I'm sure she will be thankful.

They're lazy. The best is in July when they still turn their Christmas lights on at night

I was in the doctors office today and in one of the back hallways there is a Christmas tree still up.

They just want their house to seem more interesting on the outside because it's dull on the inside!!

Omg I hate that!!!!
and its annoying when ever I drive by the privet houses the houses STILL look tacky
