I am currently 34 weeks pregnant. At 32 and half weeks i started labor and was given a shot to stop it. Then someone told me that because i had that shot that I wouldn't have labor again until at 40 weeks and would more than likely go over 40 weeks. My questions is this true? Did you have that shot and what was the result? I am really curious so please share your experiences.

I went into preterm labor and also had that shot to stop it. He was born 10 days earlie and my labor was really easy. It is just up to your body and your baby as to when you will go. I would say that is not true.

having the shot to stop labor does just that until your body thinks that its time again i never had the shot but i know someone who had to have the shot many times thru out her pregnancy and then still went into labor at like 37 weeks so all the shot does is stop you at that point in time from having the baby and stop it for a few days or so but you could start again tomorrow or in a week or two from now it just depends on your body

HI, I HAD THE SHOT, YOU WILL NOT GO TO 40 WEEK, THE PERSON THAT TOLD YOU THAT DIDN'T KNOW WHAT SHE WAS SAYING. YOU WILL START LABOR WHEN YOUR BODY IS READY. JUST RELAX YOUR BODY WILL DO EVERY THING FOR YOU.
