Playstation 3 or Xbox 360?

Question

Am I right when I say that the Playstation 3 is a way better piece of technology because of its Cell Broadband Engine and Blu-Ray Technology?

Wich do you Prefer and Why?

for the next gen yes. I can say that because I have all three. I am glad Sony spent the extra time on the extra technology because Microsoft is now stuck with an external HDDVD that costs $200 extra. So, if you think about it the XBOX 360 in its true form is comparable to the PS3 in price. All three next-gen systems have their strengths and weaknesses. XBOX has the quantity of titles while PS3 possesses superior graphics and processing power. Anyone who says any different hasn't seen resistance:fall of man in true high-def.

You're right, I have a ps3, and it's much better, and yes, blu ray is important, it holds up to 100 gigabytes dual layered, while an hd dvd can only hold 13 gigabytes, it also cannot be decrypted, so the movie industry advocates it more, as their movies can't be stolen/pirated. also, the cell broadband processor, the heart of the ps3, can calculate 2 trillion calculations per second, xbox 360 can't do even half of that, also, the cell broadband processor can create over a trillion colors, once again, the xbox 360 is in the millions range, the ps3 also is more compatible with outside technology, and can run anything another console can, including their games if ported correctly

also, the capacity of discs is important, the more space you have, the better the graphics in game play, allready the ps3's in game play is matched with FMV's. and that's only 20 percent of it's power

Well, for overall rating, PS3 is the best, although it doesn't have much games because the Xbox 360 aready came out before it like a year ago!!, but about in some more months, the game publishers will give PS3 a lot of Xbox 360 games like Saints Row, GTA 4, WWE! Smackdown vs. Raw 2007, etc.

Xbox 360 is good but I recommend you the PS3, about the Wii, I hate it, real bad. If you like kids' games, then buy it.

No challenge at all. PS3 rules! The blu-ray player itself is about $1200 and you're getting a blu'ray player and a PS3 for half the price. XBOX 360 is good but not as good. True XBOX 360 is cheaper but that does not mean that it is better

Yes the PS3's hardware is a little better then the Xbox 360. Blu- Ray really makes no difference just more space allowed on 1 disc. I prefer the Xbox 360 b/c of its vast library of games and Xbox-live service is second to none. Plus to me the PS3 doesn't warrant a purchase for that price with no games and a crappy online service free or not. Also graphically the Xbox 360 is better at this point in time. Plus if you like renting movies and downloading your favorite TV shows go with the 360. All the guys above who say PS3 is better are just a bunch of Sony Fan boys. My friend has a PS3 and I played not impressed at all but what it can do. There is no download that can save that system right now don't let them influence you on that bull. More disc space wow do you ever think Sony will use that much ever let me see no! Who cares about disc space its about the games not space that's all you can say for the Ps3 look at the disc space? None of these guys who are pumping up the PS3 ever played Xbox 360. So how can they tell you whats better if they haven't tried both like myself.

pS3 all the way more memory and blu-ray it has ansome games and the future is coming and the Xbox will fall and the PS3 will rise.the graphics are amazeing and the proessing power of the cell broadband engine is unmatched and xboxes burn out to quickly go ps3

PS3. Better technology than Xbox 360. Overall graphics are crisper. Blueray holds up to 120gb. HD-DVD holds a maximum of 25gb. Big march update will include all that's necessary to burry xbox 360 for good. An assload of exclusives for example: MGS4, KH3, FF13 and FF13 versus....actually here's a list of them http://www.ps3forums.com/showthread.php?t=57593 thats not even all of them.

the ps3 has a glitch in the hard drive, and the 360 has outsold the ps3 even the wii has outsold the ps3.

the ps3 only has one good game out right now maybe they'll have better in the future but right now the 360 has better games

the ps3 does have better graphics than the 360 and if that's all that matters to you then get the ps3 but if you want good game quality then get the 360

the fact is right now the ps3 is going down and if Sony doesn't do any thing soon it will be gone for good and so will the blue ray

i personally prefer the XBOX 360 because it is cheaper, the PS3 is better if you have the money and dont care that it is much more than the XBOX 360 but its close between the two
