Yes, it is real and it works. People need to remember that spells are really nothing more than focused prayers. And I can heal some ailments because I am well versed in the use of herbs. I know which gems or minerals affect what natural energy, and know how to use them. I know how different colours effect people. It is something that you can not possibly learn overnight, after 40+ years I am still learning.

I don't really think that witchcraft and spell casting work for everyone; you need to be really psychically intuned for that. For me, I find tarot readings to be quite accurate - I do them for my family and friends, and they are really always amazed at how relavent it all is.

power than simple postitive thinking.
That is, it has roughly the same
efficacy as placebos.

I don't believe "showy magic" (like the kind in Harry Potter and other books/movies like it) works, but other types of magic - like Wicca - works most of the time.
