Does anyone have a washer dryer with Aquastop system? If so ,what kind of plumbing do you need for it to be installed? All of the stockists we have been to, have said you need your plumbing altered in a certain way - but they cannot tell us what that 'way' is - which isn't very helpful!

Thank you!

The Aquastop anti-flood device normally has to be mounted vertically onto the water supply pipe. This means you will need to have a 1/2" or 3/4" male thread facing DOWN to fit it to.

Here is a web site talking about it. http://66.218.71.231/language/translation/translatedPage.php?tt=url&text=http%3a//de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquastop&lp=de_en&.intl=us&fr=ks-ques

However you do not need this type of thing. They now make a washer hose that has this built in. They are about $10 US for each hose. They are made of stainless steel and work well from what I understand. I have them installed on my washer. They are made by Watts Water Technologies and it automatically shuts off the water when sensing increased water flow... such as a break or bad leak.
