I am 12 years old, not too old to become an actress. I am petite so i can play younger roles, and I can sing and act very well. My friends and family all agree that I can sing and act and now I am trying to find a role to audition for. If I need an agent to do so, please tell me how to get one and how much it will cost.

If you can find some acting classes, then jump into them. You also may want to watch what you eat, make sure you're not gaining any weight. Now as far as acting, it's very political. Not as much as how well you act, but it's who you and your parent's know. So maybe you should join any local play companies, and go from there. You'll need experience, and also very good looks.....which these days unfortunately means a lot. As far as agents, you'll need on. They usually work on commission, but that also depends on the agency too and the bigger name agecies most probably won't agree to take you on....at first. So start acting locally, if you can get as many acting classes as you can, if you go to college, go for a degree in drama or something like that...and go to a better college. Just keep in mind that you'll have lots of competition, so you'll need to be the very best that you can be, when they call on you. I wish you the best of luck.

You don't need an agent. You have to study and work hard in school. You can start by acting in plays. You will have more chances of becoming an actress when oyu are older and able to travel to places like Miami, Hollywood, and places like that.
