1) When I try to soak my wooden cooking spoon it floats to the top of the soapy water. Can't soak it unless I hold it down, so I tuck it beneath something heavy like a pot lid.
2) Oil will float on water. Therefore, to pour fat off from drippings, you need one of those pitchers which pours from the bottom of the container.
3) Ice floes will float on water so polar bears can hunt seals from them.
4) Helium balloons will rise but balloons you blow up with your breath won't.
5) Ivory soap will float in your bath but if you drop another brand it will sink and you have to hunt for it.
