What do you think of Sosa's attempt to come back with the Rangers. Do you think he will make the team and if so do you think he will play a vital part on the team and make any type of difference for them? Personally I think he is past his prime but I would like to see him succeed

When things got hot and the steroid issue was at the top of the news Sammy, along with others started to panic and got off the juice. We all saw what the effect was on Sammy without the chemically enhanced of his game. He was smart. He ducked out of sight for awhile and let things cool off. Now he has surfaced and wants another chance. The problem is he is going to have to do it without the drugs. It's my guess he doesn't have enough in the tank to make a difference even if he makes the team. I wish he would just go away and hide his head in same. He's a cheater, a liar, and a loser. Who cares about the big smile? He's still a bum!!!

He is definitely past his prime. He probably will make the team because Sosa will draw a crowd, which means more money and more popularity for the Texas Rangers.

Sosa is weak. It started with his lame excuses to not take a steroid test when he kept shouting he had no reason to hide and ended with his corked bat debacle. The fact that the Ron Washington led Rangers are taking a chance on him is confounding. He will be a non-factor in the AL West and will exit the league the same way he did a few years back......a joke.

He's not going to make the team, and if he does he will be terrible. It saddens me to think of the days when Sammy Sosa was the most popular player ever in Cubs history, then he thought he had to be all cool and do roids, and cork his bat, and get injured by sneezing, or miss 3 weeks cause his toe nail came off.

You're right. I think he is way past his prime, but I don't wish anything bad on him. I'd liek to see him come back and make the team. I think he will make the team, but not as a vital player. He will play DH in my opinion, and that's about it. I can't really say too much about him. There isn't much to say, but I hope the rest of his career goes well. Hopefully he can retire peacefully with respect and dignity.

His comeback is purely selfish. Its an attempt to be the first Latino player to hit over 600 Homeruns. Will he help the Rangers, probably not. He may not even make the team.

If you like strikeouts and a declining player, you will be happy with Sosa. I think he is just in it to get to 600 and keep disproving of his steriods of the late 90s and early 00s.
