Should I got back to school full-time....or should I keep going part-time? I am an Engineering Tech right now and going to school part-time. I still have 90 credit hours to accomplish. At this pace it will take me 6 more years to complete. I could take an engineering internship work 20 hours a week, and go to school full-time and be done in about 2.5 years.

Going part-time would mean changing our lifestyle. Selling our home...getting rid of the car payments...and making some sacrifices.

My wife supports me in which ever way I go. We have 2 young kids. One is 3 and one is a newborn.

It would be great to go back to school and knock this on the head. ,I would go for it, I thin kthere is no greater investment you and your family could make than in your education and career. Sure it would mean sacrifices but the rewards far outway that, in any case a bit of hardship builds character, you are young. It is great your wife is right behind you, what a doll, you sure picked a winner there, looks like you have good judgement. Sit down with her and work it out on paper, see if you can watch the kids and have her work a bit or a bit more. See if you can get a job that will be quiet enough that you can study, like a night porter, or taxi driver, or a care worker where you babysit and aged person, you or your wife. Jobs like that pay reasonably well and don't take all the life out of you. Even if you do it just one extra night in addition to some other moneymaker, like taxi driver or at the airport. Look at what you can sell on ebay, you woud be surprised. Have your wife join the frugal group on yahoo groups that gives tips on how to live cheaply. Go round the neighborhood on trash night and pick up old furniture and scrap if you have to, to redo and sell. Every penny counts. Where there is a will there is a way. Get bikes from the Goodwill or Police Dept and start biking, get healthy. Look for free things for the family to do, explore museums and art galleries. And you should be able to pick up some money from the governement. Also there is an organisation called Share if you work two hours volunteer work you qualify for cut price groceries. I believe it is nationwide and is run out of churches. Look Share up on the internet it will probably be a .org. Get your thinking cap on, honest if you really apply yourself the sacrifices will be minimal
