I think the hardest thing to learn is to not be afraid of death. You work your whole life only to die, and it's hard to not be scared. You have to be sure that in every minute of your life you'd be OK to die. But it's even harder to learn this, because no one can teach it to you. You can't learn it in school, you can't learn it from your family, you have to believe it and teach yourself.

For me, the hardest thing to learn was the truth in "the Golden Rule". Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Or in today's terms: Treat other people as you would like to be treated.

It's hard to learn because most of us are most interested in ourselves, and the million and one little problems and petty issues that weigh on us everyday. We've got to work more and harder to get that promotion, so that we can take that skiing trip, and buy the kids that new video game. When all little Sarah wants to do is spend half an hour playing Mousetrap. Most of us are so wrapped up in the urgent, that we forget the important.

It's the people around us that are important, and if we treat them with sincerity, respect, helpfulness, and a smile, and take the time to try and understand what they really want, then just watch; they'll do the same for you.

This depends on who your are. Some people are gifted with languages while other people might struggle with their native tongue. Some people learn any dance with ease. They can leap and twirl, swing and sway. While some one else has two left feet and doesn't have any rhythm. Some people can sing like birds never missing a note; others can't sing a note. Some people play instrument, even many instruments; other can't play a note on any instrument. Some are whiz-es at high mathes; while others can't even add. Some are gifted; some are dull. Maybe the hardest thing to learn is figuring out why each individual has such varying abilities and gifts.

The hardest thing to learn is to learn that there are those things which we cannot learn and may never know- being able to accept things for their beauty without having to know exactly how they work.

The hardest thing to learn is that I, as an individual, do not exist. My existence as an individual entity, isolated, and able to survive on my own is an illusion . I come into existence only when I interact with my fellow man and the world around me. In some philosophical systems, the belief that we are seperate is called the Great Heresy.

The hardest thing to learn is how to be truly yourself. How to let go of everything you've been taught and conditioned to do and just think, say and do whatever fits you best. To find true freedom and love in yourself and everything you do. Because children are conditioned and trained to do what fits into the society as a whole it's hard to let it all go and be lost for a while in order to truely be free.

That life is not something that is going to happen in the future - life is happening to you now. This IS life. Whatever is happening to you right now - good or bad- is what life is.

The trick is to keep on keeping on. Never give up, no matter how bad things seem at the time. Just keep on.

I think it's possibly the hardest thing to learn.

I think one of the hardest things to learn is to let go and realize that we can not always persuade people to change their opinions. As humans sometimes we long to get our point across so others can understand our intentions, but we cannot always do it. We long to want others to understand our feelings, but sometimes words are too simple to express what we feel. People need to learn to let go. Another hard thing to learn is to not be vengeful. We want to get revenge to hurt another person the same way they hurt us. It is normal to want revenge. It triggers the same part of your brain as love. Those are two of the hardest things to learn.

The hardest thing to learn is to learn to live by faith. Because it involves suffering.
