I heard that in the final film, Santiago plays in the world cup for Argentina, not Mexico nor the US. This is due to Mexico and the US being sponsored by Nike, not Adidas. I heard it is already being filmed, but Mexico recently singned with adidas when Hugo Sanchez took over the squad. Does that mean that he will play for Mexico? It really doesn't make any sense for him to play for argentina. He's mexican. Please, someone tell me what's going on.

I read the reason is because of money/sponsorship. Adidas has put money into the project, but (at the time of filming) Mexico and the US were sponsored by Nike. Argentina, on the other hand, is sponsored by Adidas. Presently, Mexico is now sponsored by Adidas, but it might be too late to make that change.

Who cares? He already ruined the whole trilogy by going to Real Madrid in the second one. Not only that, but Beckham is in the second one as well! That's enough to make any movie bomb.
