My friend from school is having her Bat-Mitzvah, we're not like, Best friends, but we're good friends. One really rich girl is giving her Uggs, but no one is going all out like that. I saw a nice suede bag from Mudd at Sears, and i would tuck a nice note and $20 in it. I'm not sure if this is a good gift. What do you think? i can't really spend over $50 dollars on it. Please give me some good ideas, because i wan to give her a gift that is sweet and memorable.

I'm osrry, but i;m not willing to spend $100 on overpriced, slave made boots, that have no sentimental meaning.

she doesn't really like to shop, but she loves to play around with beauty products, but she's a little shy about buying things like that because they're a little...new to her, so she doesn't really know what things do or what they're for.

It's a bit weird to give someone shoes for their bar mitzvah, so what you're planning is really fine. One thing I can say is, presentation is everything. Make sure you get her a really nice gift bag with a lot of wrapping inside and a really sweet card. (Don't just hand her the bag...though you probably wouldn't do that).
Some gift options I would suggest, giving in different combinations are makeup .
collections, maybe from Sephora

There are some cute lipgloss sets there that you can get for $10 to $20. Then in addition to that, you can get her something she really wants. At this point, you need to think about what she likes; even if she's not really close, you should know her interests. Gift cards are also always good--you can get her one from a store she likes. So I just read the last thing you wrote, and a nail polish kit would be perfect. An eyeshadow set would be great too, since you said that she doesnt really wear makeup but likes to play around with that kind of stuff.

oo fun party time lol
well i understand your problem, and the Uggs are kind of a corny gift, who buys other people shoes anyways..??
i would say something fun and that is about her, not some man-made thing that would be okay for anybody
How bout the bag from sears, a mix CD or a CD of her favorite band, and 13 dollars cause she is 13, maybe a lip gloss (because all girls like that stuff !!), and a nice card you made
well that is something i would want if i had a bat-mitzvah =]
well have fun, be creative, and party !!

last time i went to a bat-mitzvah was about 3 yrs ago in the 7th grade. i got the girl a white gold necklace that had an "S" on it since her name was sarah. wasnt the best idea, 2 other people got the same thing. but try something like it. and Uggs arent really that expensive you know.. give her something you know she likes, not something that cost a lot becasue other people are.

A nice silver bracelet or necklace would be a good gift. It is not necessary to spend more than $20-25. for it if you are not best friends.

i think your idea is nice.....i think it is a good gift because a purse is something almost any girl will use. she will get good use of it and she can buy make-up or whatever she wants to put in it with the 20 dollars.

you can buy her...
+a cute purse
+clothes
+make-up
+beauty products
+stuffed animal
+gift card
.....this is that I'd do...
But her a cute purse, and inside put maybe a lip gloss or two, with a $20 gift card to her fave store.

Your gift sounds fine. If you want to get her something memorable I suggest a locket or a pendant in her birthstone.

I agree consisting of your mom that the first dress is extra of an "evening" seem, and the 2d one is extra useful for a daylight hours celebration. i imagine they are both highly, yet I even might want to bypass with the 2d one; that is extra experience-suitable.
