It was probably written in the middle to late 60's. It was about a bear and a mouse, who lamented on how different they were. One liked to ride his bike fast, the other slow. One liked loud music, the other soft etc... This went on until they discovered they both loved to eat Ice cream. Then the decided to get together every afternoon, to eat ice cream together. The drawings were done in muted shades, of mostly brown and green. Do you know the name of this book, and where I could purchase it? I would love to be able to share this story with my 2 small nephews, Kyle and Logan.

try How Joe the Bear and Sam the Mouse Got Together
by Beatrice Schenk de Regniers. It was originally written in 1965, but it was reprinted in the 1990s.

Is it the Ernest and Celestine Series by: Gabrielle Vincent?

If so, check out this link:

If this is it, you can probably find them cheaper, just google the name and click on products.
