right water gets boiled the steam from the boiler is sent to the turbines the turbines then rotate to make electrical energy

A generator is a coil of copper wire inside a frame set with magnets OR it's a frame set with copper wire with a rotating magnet inside. Bascially, you need to get a wire moving in an magnet field. As the coil spins, driven by water or steam or moving air, current is generated in the wire.
