Obviously alot of people do or they wouldnt waste their time airing it. I too could careless about the Oscars or any of the awards. Its not like they are recieveing an award for doing brain surgery or something that really takes skill. 89 % of the actors today can barely act. none of them would of made it back in the 50's and 60's when everyone had to know how to dance and sing along with act. BUt thats only my opinion , to each his or her own.

there is nothing in it for us. its not likeWE choose who wins them. i dontget why the actors directors and whatnot think winning an oscar is the best thing cuz its not chosen by the fans. the fans and moviegoers are the ones that matter, not some academy of film critics. another thing i hate is the fashio wrap up crap. who really cares? its not like any normal person would be able to afford such clothing.

Noone is MAKING you watch the Oscars!Most people enjoy watching them..others dont.I'm kinda in the middle...I dont HATE the Oscars,but I'll watch if there's nothing else on.What I hate about them is that they take sooooo long to start.Theres a "pre-show",then "the arrivals",etc etc......thats what bores me to death!I'm interested to see who gets what and what peoples speeches consist of.

It get's so much press coverage, that they have people fooled that is somehow some important event that we all must watch. This is taking attention off more important matters like the Iraqi war.

Who the hell is "we"? You don't speak for me. Since about 10 million people do watch those things, I guess someboby does care.
