why should normal folk worry about saving the planet and protesting at fuel prices when these blokes spend thousands on launching a car into the sky, and wrecking brand new vehicles in car ice hockey matches?
Is that what our tv licence money is spent on?
Even after the little one nearly died in a speeding car, they are all still obsessed with childish irresponsible racing. I remember when Top Gear was a useful programme which taught you how to change the oil and stuff, and not a stage for Daily Express reading middle age fat blokes to show off.
No doubt some twit will now write "Well, nobody's asking you to watch it, blah, blah, blah...". They're asking me to pay my tv licence though aren't they, and to bring up my children with asthma because of car pollution.
Here endeth my rant for this evening.... now
, what was the question...?

The money that 'top' presenters on many shows make is gross; there's always someone more talented willing to do it for half the price...
I think there's always going to be petrol heads, but these guys are going to be the first to drive the latest eco cars, and when they rate them the mainstream will accept them - you'd be better to get them onside.
Also, be real... these three people (even who drive quite a bit) probably don't contribute more to environmental damage than an area sales rep - or someone who flies long distance.
But yeah... Jeremy Clarkson is complete tisser

yes i agree,
it's gone from a car show with interest 2 a chat-show 4 lads & some childish stuff.
they probably spend a fortune on each episode
& it's getting worse, 4 pointless thrashing or trashing, things.
it's had me in tears, laughing & tears at the waste.
what's the point of us all recycling & using energy responsibly, when top gear act like spoilt Big Kids?
poor hammond the Hamster.
word is they were Insulting & may have broken broadcasting laws regarding Disability.
but doubt much will come of it.
they've all said they were all happy with the show.

Jeremy Clarkson is like Peter Pan, a boy who never grew up. I wish that the BBC would dump him and fast. The hamster is Ok though so maybe he should be the top man in the show. After all he has survived a horrendous crash at speed and I think that may have taught him a lesson that he could pass on to all of those silly boy racers that watch the show.

i know i shouldnt but i really love those guys. They crack me up everytime and make a bad day a little bit better. As for the whole fuel thing- yh! i agree that the world is in a global warming/fuel running out crisis and they're flying to america to then go and travel through God knows how many states by car. But that doesnt stop me watching them. And thats why we are in the mess we are in. People want to stop global warming but dont want to give up on their luxuries such as flying on holiday every half term or driving the car to the corner shop.

Its just an hours program, So i doubt if its wasting that much of your tv license money. Yeah same money goes for 23 hour long programs on sundays and then 24 hours through out rest of the days.
Only two ways round it
LOVE IT or HATE IT
and being a guy I LOVE IT

I totally agree with everything you said, now I'm just about to tell my 6 year old to come off the playstation as it's bedtime and Top Gear is on! You can't help but love it. PS. I walk my children to school and we have one car only, so I'm guilt free.

No.
The government is asking you to pay a TV licence, not the presenters of Top Gear.

I personally find the show incredibly entertaining! Perhaps it isn't the most practical show, nor one geared towards saving the planet, but it's just so enjoyable...the presenters do a brilliant job I think.

Can't abide the programme and I really can't understand how any intelligent person would find it entertaining. And Jeremy Clarkson would be pretty close to the top of my list of people I really don't like very much.
