I wouldn't just go handing them money.
I would buy a big building where they could come and get help to better their life in various ways. That way also I am not only helping people I happen to see in need but i have a place where I could help a lot of people.
Feed someone a fish they are fed for a day
Teach them to fish and they are fed for a lifetime

Sure. If I won a large sum of cash, I would use a small portion to help people. Although I would make sure that my money would provide long term help, not just a meal today.
I believe in the old saying, "Teach a person to fish..."

first thing i would do is get my money down, id put college money and a car money and house money in the bank, then buy my parents a house..then i would hav like 600,000 or 700,000 left, so why not help a stranger, and if you do something good, maybe something good would happen to you, and jsut think how thankful he would be to have some one help him

of course you should help somebody who needs help. just think about how they would feel if you helped them.
