Prokaryotic cells are small compared to eukarytoic cells.

Prokaryotes have: 1) No distinct nucleus as the main chromosome is not surrounded by a nuclear membrane.
2) They have a rigid cell wall, containing murein

3) They have few organelles, except small ribosomes, 70s.
4)they may have small flagella, like arms to propel themselves along, ( a bit like sperm).

Eukaryotes have: 1) Organelles, such as mitochodria, chloroplasts, golgi bodies, and a nuclear membrane, making a true nucleus.
2) They are large
3) Some (not animal cells) have cell walls made of chitin in fungi and cellulose in plant cells
4)Any flagella have microtubules
