I have seen many questions here which ask similar questions, generally with a bias one way or the other. I am asking for thoughtful answers... please no name-calling, or "because that's what I was told", etc. Also, since there is no recording of the first hit of the WTC, please do not say that you saw it...
If you can, back it up with research... I've seen people say "prove it" - so here is an opportunity to do that if you have proof.
Do you questions some things, don't question others? I really am hoping for a well-rounded answer to this question.

I only recall seeing the 2nd plane go into the WTC - I did not see the one crash in PA or the one that hit the Pentagon...

John Boy - I didn't know such video existed... I did go look and ended up on a page which did a second by second frame of this "plane" and said that it wasn't a plane -- so that was no help either... Please, I am asking a genuine questions and getting some (not all) hostile responses. Chole_24 - I don't recall seeing "both" hits over and over... or I wouldn't have asked. Trust me, I am neither blind not without television.

I don't know. But I've seen the 911truth and loosechange videos as well as read material. I have also read the governments refuting of those as well as the popular mechanics explanation-but I still have lots of questions. I do think Americans should look at both sides and approach them with an open mind. Compare the questions raised with the questions "answered" and see how they stack uo.

No one saw the plane crash in Penn., but ALL the evidence was there, including the giant skid mark on the ground and the black box; I saw the DoD tape of the pentagon and if everyone would have been paying attention and was watching TV at any time during the attacks BOTH HITS were replayed time and time again for weeks on end. If you didn't see them, you'd have to be either truly legally blind...or did not have access to a T.V.. Furthermore the pictures were on the front covers of various magazines. You can write to any TV station for copies of the hits.
So, YOU want proof, go and look for it yourself. It's still in here. Just google 9/11 attacks WTC and you can get all kinds of stuff.
There isn't a well rounded answer that anyone can give....not even the government. Was it a conspiracy??? That is mute at this point. It's now a part of our history. But how long ago was it planned? Well, when I watched an interview with 3 former terrorists who are now practicing tolerance from CN8 New Jersey, they admitted that 9/11 attacks were planned back in 1980and1981 and this was no joke. They said EVERYTHING is always formed in advance...ALWAYS.

The video was taken by someone with the NYFD. They hear a plane fly over, about that time both the firefighter in the video and the camara lens raises just in time to see the first plane hit.

many things happened but the truth is, the general public will never know the entire truth.
the government dropped the ball on things i.e. not sharing intelligence, previous fund cuts that allowed people into our country without proper paperwork or background investigations, being too lax on rules and regulations etc.
sure i question it all. how could this happen on American soil? why are these people so full of hate (because i don't know all of their history and i also can't understand how people can be so hateful as to kill innocent people), how were we supposed to react to 9-11, why did the government drop the ball, why is it that a lot of my privacies are invaded because of 9-11 etc.
i understand the need to do certain things, but i don't feel the need to have my body scanned at the airport, because if those people want to find a way, they will. all it takes is one person who is supposed to be doing the scanning to screw it up and it could happen again.
also, we as the general public don't need to know every "attack" that may have been thwarted because i can assure you, it would scare people into chaos.

I assume what you mean by saying please don't say you saw it...means the thousand of eye witnesses are part of the conspiracy..The fact is there is a recording of the jet flying over midtown at very low attitude on route to the trade center..this recording I believe from a french news crew filming a documentary on the NYFD has been widely shown but left out of every 9/11 conspiracy film!

You saw what happened, NIST explained it. Conspiracy theories are rubbish, it's just people trying to make a few quick bucks and convince the mass public it was an 'inside job'.
It wasn't and it is offending to those who died there, like my dad's friend on the 102 floor of the north tower to say it was an inside job.
