Well if they want to get married why not. But here is the thing if the government is going to allow gays to marry and enjoy the advantages of sharing a life together ie tax benifits ext. then any two people should ba able to. I honestly think gay marriage is wrong but to each their own. As long as everyone gets ythe same advantages then im fine with it all. Gays should not be give ANY SPECIAL TREATMENT...Lets

I think it's silly that this is even an issue. It's just like the boy who wants to be in the girlscouts. Or the girl that wants to be on the boy's basketball team. It's not allowed. If you're a boy, you can't join the girlscouts, but there is an alternative, the boyscouts, so get over yourself! If you're a girl, you can't join the boy's basketball team, but there's an alternative, start a girl's basketball team. Get over yourself!

Likewise, those of us who are homosexuals should get over ourselves! Marriage is for a man and a woman, not a man and man, not a woman and woman. Gays and Lesbians are not allowed on the heterosexual's team. We can't get married. That's okay. There's an alternative. We need to start our own Homosexual equivalent. Simple.

Why not?
There was a time, not long ago, when inter-racial marriages were the issue.
Something outside the common, is always to be questioned.
That's how we learn, if we are so lucky, to separate our ignorance continuing from a better edification of our thinking and judging - to our betterment, had.
Hang lose, everyone!
We're all in the same boat.
Instead of putting down this or that . . best get your Jammies and swim attire ready for the next GREAT FLOOD!
Boy do we need it!

It's a personal thing. If two people are gay, and want to sanctify their unity, they should be allowed to. The question is, What are the statistics between gay divorces and regular divorces? Too soon to tell. No one has the right to tell someone how to live their life, nor criticize it. No, I am not gay.

I think that marriage is a religious practice, and at least in the US, the government is not allowed to regulate religion. If they want a marriage and it is suitable in their beliefs, be they homosexual or polygamous, as long as the marriage only involves consenting adults and nobody is harmed by it, let it be. Its none of anyone else's business.

first, i think there should be separation of church and state, with that said, i think gay couples should have the legal civil rights that others do,,,,,,and be able to obtain a marriage license,,, as to if they also marry in a church, that is up to the individual church,,,,,,,

the people opposed to gay marriage are mostly opposed for religious reasons, and that should have no place in government,,,,, and some religions do not even oppose it,,,,,,,,

If 2 individuals love each other let them be happy. I don't care if it's a tranny midget and Andre the Giant. There is no correlation between sexual orientation and the content of ones character. Live and let live.

Let 'em do it. Whether you wanna call it a "marriage" or a "civil union" doesn't matter to me. There's no reason they shouldn't get the same rights as heterosexual couples have.

EDIT: and maybe it's not what your god intended, but we have freedom of religion in this country. That includes freedom from religion. If you wanna believe they're going to hell, fine. But don't impose your values and beliefs on them.

I don't have any problems with gays, but I don't think that they should be allowed to get married. Someone's sexual orientation is none of my business, nor should it be, but I think that only marriage between a man and a woman should be recognized.
