I work for a firm of Surveyors and we always welcome new Contractors to tender. Firstly, you must send documentation to the company, stating what projects you have carried out, i.e. redecoration works, internal/external, air conditioning etc., also state what size contracts you have carried out, what areas you are prepared to travel to. Surveyors will only choose the appropriate Contractors to the appropriate works. You must be very competitive with pricing (if you finally make it to their tendering list). Its difficult at first, but perseverance is all you need. Hope this helps and good luck.

I think you are a little bit confused here.

Tendering for contracts is when an invitation to tender is put out by a company. They send you the ITT which is a document containing what they want and the format they want the answers in. You fill it in and ensure you send it back before the closing date.

There is usually a central area where the ITT's are published you need to do a search to find out where.

Biz Guru is right. If you are tendering for a job make sure you read all of the requirements fully. SPON'S price books will give you a guide to formulating your tender price.

Read the requirements. Answer exactly as they ask you to, even if you think they're crazy.
