What rubbish some people spout on here. SAFC are the form team in the championship, are unbeaten this year, are only 3 points from top and have just taken 4 points from brum and derby. Any of the top 8 could win the title, but on current form, SAFC must be the new favourites.

Sunderland have got every chance of winning the championship. They are currently the form team and with all the other clubs around them going through sticky spells, I firmly believe they can win it. And considering the start they had, that would be a fantastic achievement!!

Yes I think it will be Southampton and Sunderland are going up automatically.
Cardiff v West Brom in the Play off final with Cardiff (due to home ground and fans) winning 2-1

yeh of course....I personally as a Southampton fan want Sunderland and Southampton automatically promoted......Red and White and all that.......plus Birmingham to win the play offs. Fingers crossed, we all still got a lot of games to play and we are all sitting just a couple of points behind each other........you were lucky with the Derby win though...nearly broke my heart, we could have gone above you, but you just pipped it....well done and hope we are both happy come the end of season.

If they carry on playing & winning like they are, I do not see why not. The team and Manager (who is very very good) seem to working well together, so good luck to them all. And I look forward to next season if they come up to the Premiership (Teacher V Pupil)

Sunderland have an outside chance but it is unlikely to happen.

On current form, they have a good chance but the league is so open.
