Discrimination in general limits options and specifying a certain genetic marker to be favorable or unfavorable would be irresponsible. Science cannot tell with certainty what genes will cause a problem and which will not because so much of ourselves is directly related to the environment as well as genetics.

For example, not hiring someone who has a genetic disposition to heart disease because health insurance premiums would go up does not make sense because there is the possibility that the individual will live a happy and healthy life. It's also possible this individual will discover a solution to a problem that nobody else can.
