Solve by adding the two: 3x=13.....x=13/3. Now substitute this into the top equation to get 13/3 + y =4 y==-1/3. The coordinate of the solution is (13/3,-1/3)..

x=13/3 y= -1/3

Use that to check your answers. We can't graph it for you. And in the future, do it on your own. I'm sorry if you don't understand it, but that's what your teachers are there for, to help you learn.

And if you simply don't want to do it, too bad. Math is unavoidable, it's everywhere you go. Even if you're homeless, you still have to count the change in your hand. And if you think, "Oh, I'm gonna be famous one day and pay people to do this for me," they'll just cheat you because you never bothered to learn basic math.

They are asking you to draw each of the two lines on a piece of graphpaper and then estimate the solution by writing down the coordinates where these two lines cross.

x + y = 4 --> y = -x + 4

So this is a line that intercepts the y-axis at 4 with a slope of -1, so it will intercept the x-axis at 4.

2x - y = 9 --> y = 2x - 9

This is a line that intercepts the y-axis at -9 with a slope of 2, so it will intercept the x-axis at 4.5.

Draw the two lines and see where the two lines intercept each other.

adding 3x=13
x=13/3
substituting
13/3+y=12/3
y=-1/3
soln.set(13/3,-1/3)
