Why is it that some people can give you......?

Best Answer,yet not a thumbs up?I always figure if I like the answer enough to pick it as best,it deserves a thumbs up too!What do you think?

a thanks would b nice too, but some people just don't have the education or the class to know what to do to say thanks.

I never give thumbs up to people I pick as best answer

sometimes I don't see a question before it goes to voting.

After it goes to voting, you can no longer even give it a thumbs up, so I just pick it for the best answer.

But I like giving a thumbs up when I get to them in time, because it gives that person a point. It really sucks to be at level one forever.

Might be a personal thing from the other answerers, and not the asker.
It's nice when you can get the thumbs up - but try not to take it personally.

I thought thumbs up was a best answer voted if the person that had the question doesn't vote for best anser.

If you give them best answer you can go back later and give them thumbs up and give them another point. If you give it to them before you choose them as best answer they don't get the extra point.

Thumbs up is a waste of time because it offers no reward and it really is something you forget to do.

I don't know. I think its the questioner voting your answer the top one. Aswell as the rest that aren't level 2 or up.
