I have it installed on my laptop. You just need to make sure your laptop meets the system requirements. I have a 100 GB hard drive in my laptop and the Sims with all the expansions up to and including pets takes up a 1/4 of my hard drive space. I have a gig of ram and a 2.0 ghz processor. It runs perfect on my laptop.

It depends on your laptop. Even if your laptop has enough memory space and has all of the criteria you need to download the sims 2, it might still be very slow during game play. The Sims 2: Life Stories is now availble especially for those who want to play The Sims on a laptop. Note: The Sims 2: Life Stories is a completely different game from The Sims 2.
