The sentence "I'm a doctor but I feel like a loser..." assumes that being a doctor = a winner.

By many people's standards, being a doctor = winning, but actually, not everybody is supposed to be a doctor. If you don't feel passionate about it, you shouldn't be doing it. You could very well hurt a lot of people.

If you really loved and felt passionate about being a doctor, you would feel very good about yourself, and you wouldn't care about being a loser in everything else. Your feelings are telling you that something is terribly wrong with your situation.

So personally, I think you are in the wrong profession. Spend some time to Discover what YOU really love and want to do (NOT what other people love and want you to do). Start doing that in your free time. You will feel a lot better doing what you love. Eventually, you may even want to quit being a doctor. You might be afraid, but you have to be courageous. That's the price of love.

Sure, if you continue being a doctor, your parents are going to be proud, your friends are going to envy your pay & status, and you might get a pretty wife... but your heart and spirit is probably going to die. So be careful what you choose.

Hi doc. Doctors are some of the nuttiest people I know. They usually are real good at whatever their specialty is but in all else they are real... lets put it this way... they shouldn't even go there. Let someone who is good at that do it. I know a doc who can really save your life. You will not die if she doesn't let you. But give her a thousand bucks... forget it. She can pull a bullet out of your butt but she cant drive a car or do a balance sheet. She acts like a real looser too. So at least you have won something here, the knowledge that you aren't the only one. See, your not such a looser after all.

Go overseas and help a third-world country. You'll be saving lives everyday, and they'll love you for it. If that doesn't make you feel good, nothing will.

Maybe you are burnt out. Maybe a vacation is in order. Everybody needs a little time away sometimes.
