I ran across a box (made by Downing Box Company w/Certificate) with a mailing date of 1971, Top Value Enterprises Redemption Center #162 with a cooky press set: mirro cookie press and decorator set; 23 pieces are present and in great condition. it looks to be used very little; original box, just shows a little age. model number is M-0350-57.

Mirro still makes cookware including cookie cutouts and other baking items. What you have is a set that was obtained by redeeming Top Value Stamps. These stamps were given by grocery stores as "rewards" for shopping and people saved them in books. Another company called "S & H Greenstamps" did the same thing. The merchandise these companies offered for redemption was the same merchandise you could buy in many stores. As I remember it, they did not offer shoddy or cheap merchandise.

Your mirro set is not vintage or antique, and at this point, the box doesn't mean much to the value. That might be a different story a hundred years from now. If you decide to save the set for your heirs, make sure to package it carefully so the box and contents don't get banged up. It is hard to attach a value on the set you have, but I'm betting it is not worth more than a similar set could be bought for at today's prices. I checked Amazon.com and they do not carry mirro brand items, but they do have a decent selection of other brands. No cookie press set or cutout set sells for more than $20.00. The best I can do is give you an educated guess for the value of your set. I would think it is somewhere between $25 and $50 only because these types of items tended to be better made 35 years ago.

Good luck with your valuation.
