Im curious does any one know about any stories of relatively genius people you have witnessed or heard about?

There are biographies of scientists like Linus Pauling (2 Nobel prizes in different fields) Richard Feynman, etc...

I heard about Evariste Gallois, a very young mathematician who died stupidly by fighting for democracy in Monarchic France a few years after the napoleonic wars, he has not reached 25 and seemed to be really gifted because he laid a theorema which bears his name . What a disaster for Science its early death !
