This money thing I do not get. Bill can raise tons of cash for Hillary but Obama isn't doing it that way. He's "following the guidlines" so to speak. I'm not sure i understand the point of who has more money in the Presidental race. Personally, I don't think it matters how much Obama has, he has so much character the money will out weigh what Bill Clinton can raise. Am I wrong?

It's about the money because money gives you varying access to the voters. Prime time TV commercials, trips, etc. There's a guy running for mayor in Philadelphia who was such an unknown that I used to laugh at the commercials. Yet, because of his two million dollars he is spending on the campaign with those commercials, he's now the front runner! Now, if it takes two million dollars just to become the front runner in a major city's mayoral campaign, imagine how much money one needs to do well in a presidential campaign? That's why I think that the government should give each candidate who got a certain number of signatures or whatever to get on the ballot and they can't spend more than that. it equals the playing field.

I can guarantee you that they all are bending the rules as much as possible. How is Bill raising money for Hillary against the election codes? How do you know Obama is following the guidelines? Remember politics is a full contact sport. If Hillary was caught illegally raising funds it would be made an issue by all Democratic candidates for the nomination and any Republican that could possibly face her.

And yes, you are wrong. Obama has no more character than any other politician.

"I am saying here today that I will not run for any other office until my term as Senator is finished" B. Obama one week after his election to the US Senate(paraphrased)
