I think there can be a couple ways... I'll list the ones I think.

Clouds are formed when the temperature of the air drops below the dew point. The dew point is the temperature in which the water vapor component in the air to condense into water (dew).

Temperature is one of the factors that gets moisture into the air; by evaporation. As the sun heats a body of water, like the ocean, the water evaporates and goes into the atmosphere to form clouds. The warmer it is, the more evaporation occurs.

Also, another way clouds are affected by temperature is by convection: hot air rises. It doesn't really help with the formation of clouds, though I suppose it can be a factor, but this is semi-related. As the sun heat's the earth's surface, it gives off heat. As the warm air rises, it causes clouds to grow vertically. This is tthe mechanism by which a cumulus cloud can become a billowing cumulonimbus storm cloud.

I hope I helped or at least set you on the right track. Have fun. :*)

Cirrus clouds are ice crystals
Fog is a cloud at the surface
stratus clouds are low and water vapor
Cumulus clouds can go up several miles and may contain both ice and rain depending on the level and temp.
