Gretzky is the Great One, but some of the players from the sixties/seventies would be very cool...Bobby Orr, Gordie Howe, Ken Dryden, Guy Lafleur...

First off do not buy any autographed cards on eBay unless they are signed by the player and shipped to the card supplier. Their are way too many fake autographs out there. As far as what card depends on how much you want to spend. You can get a rare Bobby Orr test rookie for a couple thousand dollars. These are only going to go up in value. Wayne Gretzky's rookie has come down quite a bit and with the amount of fakes you have to be weary about buying those. Right now I am a huge fan of Upper Deck's The Cup. You can expect to pay a few thousand dollars for a nice Crosby autographed jersey card. If you want some help let me know as I buy and sell hockey memorabilia.

I would bet on an autographed Gretzgey in either his rookie season or his best season, but an autographed Lemiuex rookie card would sell for ALOT in pittsburgh
