Is this a Alberto Gonzales thing or does it date back to Ashcroft???

Say Bush lies to Congress. Suddenly it is Congresses fault for beliving his lies. Not Bush's fault for lying to Congress.

It all goes back to the ingenius political maneuverings of Karl Rove, the man with a heart of coal.

Bush didn't lie because this information hadn't changed since before Clinton got into office. The issues were passed down. You seem to forget the first attack on the WTC many years before Bush even ran. I see that memories are very short here, and eternally selective. All members of congress agreed even when Clinton was still in office, that there were WMD's in Iraq.

Get your facts straight before making assumptions...and get a grip.

I don't believe anyone in congress takes any persons word as truth without investigating for themselves - especially if it is the word of someone from the opposing party. When they do, you can bet it is more about political posturing than doing their job.
