I know they started with texting so people would get charged the least for a message or whatever, but I can't read a sentence with only two full words and eight abbreviated ones in it, sorry.....

I suspect I've been using email longer than 90% of the population and I have a lot of difficulty reading those messages.
I'm a former technical writer by profession and we had a slew of TLAs (three letter acronyms). All professions do. But the constant barrage of cutesy abbreviations and acronyms gives me a headache.
You should see some the email my sister-in-law sends. I go insane trying to figure it out. Every 3rd word is LOL or ? or !!! or ROTLF or,.. or,... or,...
Let's say we make up our own and drive everyone else nuts for a change?

i get most of em, and yes, i use em. its just faster to write em down that way, and yes, more cost efficient in txting. if it doesnt make sense, sorry!! im just used to it. and which ones were u talkin bout? these r the ones my friends and i use the most:

It takes me a while to figure out abbreviations, but i usually get it, eventually.

I agree. i'm obsessive compulsive, and that i hate that. I additionally hate undesirable grammar. I blame cellular telephones for the shortened words. human beings continually prefer to text fabric promptly, so as that they shorten the words. I blame television for the laziness, as properly via fact the faculties in u . s . a . no longer having extra ideal actual wellness classes. :)

I never use abbreviated words, they suck.
