You can drink a beer. Alcohol is a natural muscle relaxant. If you're not 21 yet you can take 600mg of Motrin or 1000mg of Tylenol (Acetaminophen) unless you're allergic to either or both. Apply a warm pack or heating pad to your lower abdomen for 20 minutes at a time. A product called ThermaCare is great. Apply to your lower pelvic region per package instructions. They work for a long time in a similar fashion to a heating pad. Stay away from caffeine and other stimulants as this will intensify the contractions of the uterus.

Simply take some tylenol, or pace around the house, because sometimes that helps me ease the pain. Sitting still isn't always the best solution. Take a little medicine, and move around a bit.

All of the above plus:
Get your boyfriend to rub it- soothing and relaxing and relieves the pain a bit
Also, some of my friends find hot water bottles make them faint, because their body is already so hot.... So they use ice! Sound weird but it works for them- just a packet of peas!
Or how about you both go for a walk? I hate to say it, but gentle exercise really does help.... annoying (i never feel like doing anything when I'm on!) but true!

See if your boyfriend has an electric heating pad, or something like a hot water bottle, you can fill with warm water, and lay down on it on your tummy. Take a couple of Tylenol/acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin, or any kind of pain reliever, and that should help, too.

Umm I don't know what they are called but it is a heating pad that has what you put in hand warmers in it. They are made especially for period cramps and they work so good. During my last period the school nurse gave me one it felt so good and made my cramp go away. I think they would sell those at a Bartells or some other drug store.

when i get cramps i usually eat bananas they usually help. you can get a towel or something and rinse it in hot water and put it on your stomach; the heat helps you blood flow so the cramps stop. its good you didnt take a shower; it'll only make it worse since your body gets cold when you come out and he doesnt have a blow dryer so you could get sick esp. when you have cramps. hope you feel better soon! :)

Does he have a hot water bottle you could borrow - that is soothing. If not, or you don't want him to know you have just started, take a paracetemol to ease the pain. Curl up and watch TV

get a big tube sock or small pillow case, fill it with uncooked rice if you have it. Put it in the microwave for a couple minutes and put it on your lower tummy. This always helps me. Or just some source of heat and some advil.

Tylenol or Advil...lay off the caffine and rest. Snuggle up and watch a movie. If he has a heating pad, use that for about 20 minutes.
