I believe that some people have a predisposition to become gay but ultimately as with other human behaviors it is a choice.
Gays seem to think that there is nothing disordered about homosexuality while at the same time insisting they were born that way. You can't have it both ways either you have a disorder or you made a choice. A schizophrenic didn't choose to become crazy but then again we don't consider schizophrenia an "alternative lifestyle".

Human sexuality is determined at birth, just as it is with other animals. In fact, bisexual and homosexual behavior has been documented in more than 450 animal species worldwide. The book Biological Exuberance is a great compilation of this research.
There are just as many gays and lesbians now as there ever were before -- about 10% of the overall population. This is true everywhere in the world. The only difference is how open people are able to be about their sexuality. Needless to say, in countries where homosexuality is illegal, gay culture is driven underground.

Many are born that way, genetics can differ, brain waves can differ, etc.
There is homosexuality in all animal species.
There are not "more" gay people now, it is just more accepted and more public.
Many ancient tribes thought that gay people were holy, as they held both the male and female traits within them. This made them closer to the male and female gods and goddesses.

Yes, homosexuals are born that way; the latest scientific evidence points to that. And it is ridiculous to assume that people would choose to suffer society's hatred and oppression just for the fun of it. There are no more homosexuals now than ever before in history; there are simply more of them willing to stand up and be counted. There has been homosexual activity in all cultures all throughout history, including in China, Japan, the Arab/Muslim world, etc. We're here, we're queer; get used to it!

Yes we are born gay. It only appears that there are more gays now than ever before only because we're no longer afraid to remain closeted.
'How can someone just be born gay?' This is just like saying that heterosexuality is an 'acquired trait' and that no one is born heterosexual either.

I don't think they were born gay. After all, thats like calling a baby straight or gay..they are neither. They aren't attracted to any sex at that age. It is aquired and it depends on your surroundings. If you are around women all the time while you are a little boy, chances are you might be gay. On the other hand, if surrounded by maculine guys, you'll probably be straight. Just depends on your surroundings, then you acquire a trait.

Babies don’t have sexual attraction to anyone, but they do have the genetic makeup that will determine their later sexuality. When a person reaches a certain age they find out their true sexuality and I don’t believe any of us have a choice in this. Sexuality and the sex act aren’t the same thing. Virgins still have a sexuality, so how is that a choice?

uh there are gay animals, what could possibly make animals gay in their lifetime? Their are no gay animal porn movies, no GLBT animal rallies, its just plain science that gays are just born gay.
and also their were as much homosexuals in the past too, they were just either in the closet, hiding to avoid persecution or bisexual.

No one is born gay and at some point in their life they ALL chose it. They might feel like they have no choice because they can`t control it now but at one point in their life they chose or learned their behavior. If not they would have been gay as children.

If a male has homosexual feelings, then it is due how his parents have raised him. As a child the male would have had a father that never connected with him physically or mentally to create that strong loving bond, and also to help him to become courageous, brave and confident. This is also followed by having a mother who will spend the majority of time with the child, being overly protective, not encouraging him to be strong and independent, tough and confident and basically caring for him too much causing him to become sensitive and emotional.
In order of preventing homosexuality in a male, the father must initially be the be the dominant one in his relationship with his wife. He must teach the boy how to become masculine and to feel good about himself, as he will then see himself as equal to his male peers and will find it much more easier to fit in. The mother must also maintain a good relationship with the son but it's important that she doesn't make the son feel overly dependant on her and she must not smother him as it will only encourage him to be more feminine.
An example, if the child were to fall and bang his knee, then his father should encourage him to fight the pain. Eventually after much practice the child will start to feel more independent and will toughen up and if this happens again he will be able to just take the pain and move on.
If this same situation were to occur with his mother, then ordinarily she will grab her child and comfort him which she may feel will help him but it will only encourage him to feel dependant on her when ever he hurts himself. It will begin to make him feel sensitive and soft and it doesn't allow him to develop into a man.
Being homosexual is therefore due to low self-esteem, not feeling like a man, feeling effeminate, and basically having a sense of not being able to relate to other males. This would explain why homosexual men generally tend to have more feminine voices, are very sensitive, less confident body language, feminine movements etc. they simply don't feel like their true gender. That's why you also find transsexuals who genuinely feel that they the opposite gender, when in actuality it's due to how they were raised.
It actually pisses me off a little though. Because I have seen women who actually encourage their sons to be feminine and do feminine things, such as encouraging her son to wear women's clothes and make-up or to play with dolls. How will he ever begin to relate to other males of his age without them ridiculing him, leading him to confusion about his gender then causing to feel emasculated, leading to homosexuality.
