Why does it smell like dirt when i water my plants inside?

Maybe because you're adding water to dirt...so like anything wet, it will most likely smell
OR
maybe the water causes the dirt particles ot float in the air from friction so you have more dirt in your air than normally. Therefore it smell it now.

It's because the palnts are planted in dirt. It's gonna give off a bit of "dirt" smell for sure, no worries, it will go away
