rub a small amount of cooking oil into it, this should soften it and come off easily

Try putting an ice pack on it for a few minutes and freezing the glue it should come off a lot easier, I've tried this and had around 85% success.

Tea tree or eucalyptus oil. It will smell at first but it is a very effective sticky spot remover.
