and she even makes fun of her intern that everyone thinks is gay when he isn't around. What's her problem? I mean she constantly does it.

she's scared and a bigot, I would ignore her in class but bring it up with the administrators, because she is suppose to be teaching equality and equity.

Oh my....
I am a teacher in southeastern Georgia. I am also a gay man. I am not what one would consider to be a "flamer." Having stated that, I am however very much "OUT." I would be very offended...if not pure pissed off if one of my collegues (fellow teachers) were making fun of gay people. Regular students have it rough enough, imagine being a gay student with all the taunts and ridicule. The only people in the world for some gay students are the teachers, counselors, and adminstrators that they can confide in....
As an offer of suggestion, take a stand. Do not allow this teacher the right to continue making fun of gay people. Tell a prinicipal and if this doesnt work take it too the local board. Teachers are bound by a code of ethics. Regardless, if your school and/or community agrees...teachers MUST RESPECT DIVERSITY! Apparently, the teacher in question is nearing retirement and may or may not give a damn. Because with the attitude she is portraying, she will not last long in education.

A respectful teacher would not make fun of anyone, regardless of their views or beliefs. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. It doesn't matter who she is making fun of, it's the fact that she is making fun period.

you need to talk to the principal or a school representative. This teacher is in the WRONG line of work! If you were my kid, I'd be VERY concerned that the teacher is "teaching" this homophobic mindset to my kids!

Are you gay? Well, whether you are or not, you should snitch. Gays will not inherit God's Kingdom, but you should still snitch. She prolly gay her ownself, and trying to hide it by making fun of other people.
