I need to know what the Scottish parliament has done differently to the English parliament. Such as the smoking ban that we dont have. I need it for homework.

There's very little difference - Scottish labour tell the same untruths as their Westminister counterparts. Jack McConnell hasn't answered any of the questions he's been asked either - a lot like Anthony Blair.

If you actually ask him about the detail of any of his policies - his answers are just rhetoric - they don't amount to a hill of beans. For instance they have spent £2million on a campaign of talking posters telling us to wash our hands in the toilets - does that sound like good use of taxpayers money ?

I am a Unionist but if Jack McConnell and his party are the alternative I would support Independence. It could not be any worse than living with these buffoons.

I also agree that Scotland has been used as a guinea pig for the smoking ban - I thought that was what the Parliament was meant to prevent after the experience of the Community Charge.

Sadly, there isn't an English Parliament yet, just the UK one, but on more general terms we have a completely different legal, education & religious system in Scotland form the rest of the UK. I guess helping to safeguard those is something the UK Government hasn't had a hand in.

Nothing really, except allow Scotland to be used as a guinie pig farm... but hey, that's not unusual.
