Over 99% of what people worry about never happens. Find a doctor that you really feel relaxed around, that might help. Also stop reading all the junk on the Internet related to health issues if you do a lot of that.

Having a phobia of going to the doctor, or dentist is very common! If you need to have a procedure done, it's OK to ask for something to take in advanced that will help calm your nerves. I have a friend that can't go to the dentist at all with out taking a xanex first! and it's ok! Take a friend with you too!! It's comforting to be with someone you feel safe with.

I also always get very nervous at both the doctors and dentist office. I guess it is just a normal thing though. Try to relax.

It might sound corny, but it really helps to use calming techniques such as breathing, meditating, and visualizing. Concentrate on your breath, think about something that makes you feel calm. And remember, if they find something wrong, it's so much better than if you didn't go and it wasn't found. They will help you fix it if something is wrong. Good luck.

Phone the doctors office and explain your fears , I think it likely they would give you something to take prior to your visit to help calm you .

I take Xanax before going to the dentist. Your doctor can prescribe it for anxiety, but he will monitor you very closely while taking it because it is very addictive.

You don't stay calm.
You must bite the doctor's hand as hard as you can.

And also when he screams you scream louder.
This is what they deserve, because of the fees they take from the patients.
